James Buckwalter

Assistant Professor, Electrical & Computer Engineering

Design of high-speed integrated circuits for wireline communication.

Dr. Buckwalter's research focus is broadband circuit design for high-speed, broadband electrical and optical communication systems including the design of transmitter, receiver, equalizer, and clock and data recovery circuits. His research group investigates novel silicon integrated circuit topologies for 40-100GHz applications. Projects range from studying high-speed circuit design to signal integrity in microwave transmission environments. Additionally, his group is investigating the design and implementation of integrated microwave transceivers.
