Speaker Bio:
KAIYUAN YANG is a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he received his M.S. degree in 2014. He received his Bachelor degree in Microelectronics from Tsinghua University, China, in 2012. His research interests include digital and mixed-signal circuit design for secure and low-power systems, hardware security, and circuit/system design using emerging technologies. He was the recipient of the 2016-2017 IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) Predoctoral Achievement Award, the Distinguished Paper Award at the 2016 IEEE International Symposium on Security and Privacy (S&P), the Best Student Paper Award (1st place) at the 2015 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), the 2016 Pwnie Most Innovative Research Award Finalist, and the Best Undergraduate Thesis Award from Tsinghua University in 2012.
