- What if I am on the waitlist and it is Week 0-2?

- Please monitor your courses on WebReg regularly and ensure you have planned some back-up courses in case you are unable to make it off the waitlist into the class. In the meantime, continue attending the waitlisted course(s) if you wish to enroll in them for this quarter. It is up to you to decide how long you are willing to be on the waitlist and/or enroll in another course if needed.

To earn your ECE M.S. Degree, you must successfully complete the following:
I-20 Program Extension
- What is an I-20 Program extension?

If your I-20 (F-1 students) or DS-2019 (J-1 students) will expire soon and you need additional time to complete your academic program, you must apply for a program extension at least 10 days before the program end date listed on your documents. Failure to extend your I-20 or DS-2019 in a timely manner may cause immigration issues, so please act accordingly.
Reduced Course Load Form (RCL)
- What is a Reduced Course Load Form (RCL)?

All F-1 and J-1 students are required to be enrolled full-time (12 units or more) while at UCSD during the academic year (Fall, Winter and Spring quarters). A Reduced Course Load Form (RCL) is a type of student status that allows you to enroll below 12 units.
Optional Practical Training
- What is Optional Practical Training (OPT)?

Optional Practical Training (OPT) is a type of employment authorization for F-1 students. It is an opportunity to pursue a 12-month period of work experience in your major field of study. The authorization can be used for a paid position located on-campus or off-campus, both before (Pre-Completion OPT) or after completion of course requirements (Post-Completion OPT).
Curricular Practical Training (CPT)
- What is Curricular Practical Training?

- Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is a type of employment authorization for F-1 students.
- It is an opportunity to participate in a paid position off-campus within your field of study, during the time that you are pursuing your degree.
