Program Timeline

 
October 15, 2024 Program announcement. Projects solicited from faculty.
November 18, 2024 Project proposals DUE from faculty.
November 25, 2024 Projects posted on the website. Intern application opens.
December 16, 2024 Intern application DUE at 11:59 PM.
December 20, 2024 Intern application/information sent to faculty.
January to February Faculty interviews applicants (optional).
February 28, 2025 Deadline for faculty to select students.
March - June 2025 Students are notified of the application status.
Spring 2025 Students work 10hr/week in the faculty lab, enroll in 4 units of ECE 199/298 (optional) research credit courses, and start working on projects.
Summer 2025

Students work full-time in the faculty lab.

Undergraduate SRIP interns will present (required) at the UCSD Summer Research Conference (In person). Dates TBD.

Application Information

  • Students may apply for up to 4 different projects regardless of faculty.
  • SRIP is a full-time commitment (summer), and students are expected not to accept any other employment for the duration of the program.
  • Undergraduate students are required to participate in the UCSD Summer Research Conference (in person).
  • Deadline to submit: Monday, December 16th, at 11:59 PM. No exceptions.

Eligibility

  • Only current UCSD ECE students are eligible to apply.
  • Students graduating WI24 and SP24 are not eligible to apply to the program.
